How to use this website
This is a first demo of Tiny Encounters, created to gather feedback. The website allows you to prepare for tiny encounters, either in your imagination or in the real world. The physical card deck and its accompanying book are both in pre-production.
Follow these four steps.
Look up
Choose a place where people naturally come and go. Let one person catch your attention. You are sharing a place with them, not studying them.
Choose one practice
Choose one practice. If you are unsure, begin with Imagine.
Loosen a first impression and make room for other possible stories.
Choose the quality of your attention and look again.
Use only when a shared moment already seems to be beginning.
Draw and try
A short version of the exercise always appears above the cards. Open More about this exercise when you want to understand why it works, how to prepare, or whether to try it in your imagination or in a real encounter.
Imagine draws three cards and asks you to keep all three possible stories open. Attend begins with one card; add a second only when you are ready, without replacing the first. Meet lets you choose the stage that matches a moment already unfolding. There is no score and nothing to complete.
Let the moment end
Imagined stories are possibilities, never facts. Attention is about how you choose to look. An encounter is always optional: a smile, silence, or no contact at all can be enough.
Afterwards, pause with the reflection offered by the practice. Imagine has Reflection cards; Attend and Meet each offer one quiet question. You do not have to answer it.
If something small happens and you want to share it, choose Log an encounter after selecting your card. Do not include another person’s name or details that could identify them. Public postcards appear in the archive after approval.
Have more time later? The book is the longer companion behind these practices.
